Bull Run, Crypto Outlook 2024

The terrible bear market is over, it seems. Even though coins are starting to pump, and Bitcoin has been on a tear, I'm still looking at losses. I'm looking at my empty crypto bags and my worthless NFTs. I know it's tough, no impossible, to time the market but still. I mistimed pretty much everything, and fell into fraud traps early on.

I've been watching the recent bitcoin bull run (well I did buy at the almost bottom of the recent bear market) and I am back on CoinGeko daily reviewing small cap alt coins. Here's a 101 reminder to myself ...

Here are some trends to think about:

• Bitcoin spot ETF is coming up next year. It will likely be approved in January 2024. This brings institutional investors into the mix.
• The halving of BTC in April will lead to more demand as supply comes down.
• The Fed will likely pause interest rate hikes that will stimulate crypto.

Bitcoin will lead in price gain to start and then more money will flow to other alt coins (i.e. coins that are not BTC) Ethereum (A layer 1) will dominate as more apps are created over it. Eth is hard to compete with at this point. The NFT market will pick up again but investors will look harder at projects, teams and value props.

I'm once again thinking that there are two use cases to explore on the rundown. Payments and NFTs that allow storytelling. Watch this space.
